I met my beautiful granddaughter there to celebrate her birthday. I live near State college, she lives in Dubois. It was a perfect place to eat. My granddaughter had the highest recommendation for this restaurant. We had a lovely waitress, very nice atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious. Done exactly like we ordered. Prices were decent. Everything was very clean, as well as the restroom. I would not hesitate to visit this restaurant again.

My Penn State alumni friends and I found Spanky’s online looking for breakfast the morning after the hockey game at Beaver Stadium. The food portions were large and filling, the service was great, and the atmosphere was calm.

I can't believe how good the food was. People said it was good, but I still wasn't prepared. Everyone there was great, the place is charming, and I haven't had fish that good in decades.

Best breakfasts ever! I've been here many times, and never had a bad meal, but today's George Omelet was absolutely amazing! You can't go wrong with any of their omelets, sausage gravy & biscuits, or French toast with their homemade bread. And that bread is so good, be sure to get a loaf to take home with you!

Stopped by for breakfast around 9am on a weekday. Quiet crowd, attentive staff and great food. LOVED the hometown support for the local high school football team, the fall decorations. Portions are large and the home made toast was great. Was traveling solo so I sat at the counter but the booths looked cozy and clean. Adding this to my must stops when traveling through Clearfield.

Pretty good place. My brother and I Stopped in here today to grab some breakfast. We both went with 3 eggs over easy with bacon & toast. We also decided to get an order of the hash browns with peppers & onions to split. They have their own home made bread which my brother decided to go with and I went with just regular white loaf bread. When it came out it was buttered and delicious. I really liked everything except the hash browns. They are just not my personal favorite. They're more of the chunky potato and a little heavier than the shredded style ones I was envisioning when I ordered them. They where still decent just not the nice browned shredded skillet ones I was imagining. My only other critique would be to add some fly traps. With it being summer and a decent flow of traffic coming in and out a few pesky flies snuck in and where buzzing around tormenting us as we ate. Overall a decent place if you are in the area. Cost roughly $26 plus tip for the 2 of us with a water.

Everything you could want from a breakfast place. Delicious fair priced food, cool staff and the morning news playing. Sausage was the best I’ve ever had. And as I toast freak, their toast was spectacular Would come back but I live 3 hours away.

We were driving through the area on a work trip from Iowa to New Jersey on a Monday late afternoon. This spot came up both as a Yelp and Google recommendation, so we wanted to stop. We walked in about 3pm, which is an odd time for lunch/dinner, but we were greetly and told to sit anywhere. I had to work on my laptop during our visit, so we sat in a booth out of the way of most incoming visitors. Our server was so lovely! I wish I remembered her name. I had some amazingly fluffy and flavorful French toast, and my friend had a delicious chicken sandwich! Next time, I will save room for the desserts because they looked impressive. We are so happy we stopped. No idea when we will be back in this area, but we will definitely stop again!

Real hometown diner feel. Smells great and has a clean vibe. Very friendly staff and wildly tasty choices. It was jam packed and waiting 20min for a table at 10:30am on Sunday morning but well worth it. Food was spectacular and even had kids sizes.

The fish was amazing; so hard to find good fish. Fried to perfection…not too oily. Wyatt was our server and he did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend, and plan on returning when visiting the area. UPDATE: Returned to try the fish again and it was excellent!! Sometimes, I’ve run into the problem that the fish was good one week and then not so good the next week. They seem to be consistent here. Also, same server again, Wyatt, great job. Very attentive to our needs and very kind. Will return! UPDATE: Third time for Haddock fried with beer batter. Still very good and consistent.
